Recycling services available in Wichita

For Recyclers:

International Paper in Wichita provides a public drop off for paper, shredded paper, corrugated boxes and uncontaminated food storage boxes.  You can drop these recyclables off every Wednesday and Friday from 10 AM to 3 PM at their location in Wichita; 4300 W 29th Street South, Wichita KS 67215.

Here's What We Have to Offer

Cost Share

WE MAY BE ABLE TO PROVIDE SOME FINANCIAL ASSITANCE (COST SHARE) FOR YOUR CONSERVATION PROJECT!

Is there a ditch or gully forming in your cropland or pasture?  Need a pond for livestock water?  Do you need to figure out how to keep livestock away from a sensitive area such as a creek, wetland or stream?  Are you considering seeding a crop field back to native grass or brome?  Is there an abandonded water well on your property?  Having trouble with your septic sytstem?  Contact us to see if you are eligible or if you qualify for our cost share programs.

We also have Geo-Textile Fabric and Survey/Marking Flags for sale.

Education and Information

We feel conservation education is critical; knowledge is power and we want everyone to know how important it is to conserve and protect soil, water and all of our natural resources.  We offer educational programs for all ages. Call us today!

Watershed Restoration and Protection Strategy (WRAPS)

Protecting El Dorado Lake, Butler County's water supply, has been an ongoing goal for Butler County Conservation District.  WRAPS provides funding for conservation practices implemented in the watershed above El Dorado Lake.

Five Watershed Districts are managed out of the Butler County Conservation District office.
